NOEL J. AKERS
Noël is a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. He is also a Registered Trade Mark Agent in the UK and admitted to practice before the European Community Trade Mark Office.
He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Chemical Engineering, before qualifying in the patent and trade mark profession.
Noël has worked with a number of international corporations and law firms, and spent a considerable length of time practicing European patent law in the United States. Noël has developed a specialty in coordinating patent procurement and litigation in cases involving actions in the US and Europe.
Noël has extensive experience in all aspects of the procurement, enforcement and exploitation of intellectual property, and has published widely on intellectual property rights.
CHRISTIAN ZIAR
Christian is a law graduate, with a specialisation in intellectual property law. Christian handles trade mark and design matters for the firm, assisting a range of clients in matters before the UK Trade Mark Registry and OHIM.
Christian is active in a range of contentious matters for clients, involving the enforcement of trade mark and design rights in Europe.
Christian specialises in the promotion of trade mark rights to companies and organisations and has given a number of lectures and seminars on trade mark protection.
NATHALIE JOHN
Nathalie graduated from Cardiff University of Wales with a degree in Biochemistry and subsequently completed a Masters in the Management of Intellectual Property at Queen Mary University of London.
Nathalie is a part qualified Trade Mark and Patent Attorney and is currently working towards full qualification. Nathalie is fluent in French.
Within N J Akers & Co, Nathalie focuses on the agrochemical industry, the health sector and innovation within Life Sciences. Nathalie is a regular panel advisor at the One Stop Ideas Shop run by Plymouth University.
